So when she arrived, it was said ˹to her˺, “Is your throne like this?” She replied, “It looks to be the same. We have ˹already˺ received knowledge ˹of Solomon’s prophethood˺1 before this ˹miracle˺,2 and have submitted ˹to Allah˺.”

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

So when she arrived, it was said [to her], "Is your throne like this?" She said, "[It is] as though it was it." [Solomon said], "And we were given knowledge before her, and we have been Muslims [in submission to Allah].

But she had been hindered by what she used to worship instead of Allah, for she was indeed from a disbelieving people.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And that which she was worshipping other than Allah had averted her [from submission to Him]. Indeed, she was from a disbelieving people."

Then she was told, “Enter the palace.” But when she saw the hall, she thought it was a body of water, so she bared her legs. Solomon said. “It is just a palace paved with crystal.” ˹At last˺ she declared, “My Lord! I have certainly wronged my soul. Now I ˹fully˺ submit myself along with Solomon to Allah, the Lord of all worlds.”

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

She was told, "Enter the palace." But when she saw it, she thought it was a body of water1 and uncovered her shins [to wade through]. They said, "Take a mutual oath by Allah that we will kill him by night, he and his family. Then we will say to his executor,1 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.'"

— Saheeh International

And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not.

See then what the consequences of their plan were: We ˹utterly˺ destroyed them and their people all together.
